Basic level vs. Advanced level Swahili
Current stage and future perspective

The Basic level module focuses on the acquisition of basic knowledge, practice and skills in the Swahili language, and on essentials of its grammar and vocabulary.

The currently available CDROM version 12 contains Units 1-12 of the basic module. Units 13-20 are in preparation.

The Advanced level module is currently in the planning stage.

Its main focus will be on providing guidance to students wishing to acquire a deepened and broadened textual and social competence, both active and passive, in the swahiliphone culture.

For a more detailed outline of both modules, see Contents.

For details of currently available Basic course content, see Table of Contents.
